  • Me and my project

How do you balance work and home life?

Balancing is hard… It is what got me into the mental health ward by overworking. Then the pills that made me even worse.

I am trying to rebuild what I have started but I think I am getting there.

I have gone an extra route to mental health because I see issues that need to be solved. Maybe in time I will volunteer or work for a community based business.

I think everything is community based but what I am trying to achieve is to make everyone feel good about themselves, even when they do  not look good on paper but mostly inside a person’s psyche.

In this platform I would like to contribute my thoughts and experiences in one hoping it will help everyone in general to have something to talk about or give away their priceless knowledge.

In terms of balancing… I find that humans are mostly made to work or do something or else we fall into anxiety or depression.

    Layers of my thoughts
  • Adapting

What sacrifices have you made in life?

While I had an almost comfortable living, I tried to make myself uncomfortable by taking cold showers and learning as much as I can in my early 20s because your 20s are still young. Cold showers have health benefits. The main thing about cold showers is learning to be comfortable by being uncomfortable is what trains you as well.

There are about 40 more years to live freely at this stage, could increase as innovation makes place depending on how fast it takes place.

So that is why I am buying and collecting anything copper as it is a technology innovation tool. The better mental health we have the more technical advances we make. Right now in this day and age, we are relying on technology year by year.

I think what is best for mental health is using technology as a way to further your well being and also for convenience.

I think what sacrifices you make most of the time is how you learn and adapt to the situation because everyone is different.

Looking for ways to be outside of the box

  • Start with the little things

    Compound effect of taking action

Only when you are doing something like a project or being out and about will satisfy you. It does to me because when I treat myself after something I have done, it feels rewarding just like feeling like a child.

If you are doing nothing then having a snack does not feel rewarding because what I find is when I am hungry or stave a bit, every little consumption feels rewarding. You will also feel depressed or a bit down when you have no tasks during the day but… That builds up everyday when you are not doing anything for your goals.

If you have nothing to start with, something as little as getting a gym membership and building your body up then probably think what you should do when the goal is fulfilled. I mean also in business sense, the more visitors or income it gets, the local community thrives with your gym payments. This is something to think about as well. It is like you are contributing to society 2x from what you have started.

  • Being independent

What does freedom mean to you?

What I want to do is be free to do what I want to pursue. It is to make everyone and everybody free to talk about their mental health, whether it is anxiety or depression.

I think both men and women have a hard time talking about their labels because of their reputation. But there shouldn’t be any judgement on our part when we listen or lend a hand to those with mental health issues. Even the person listening could be suffering and just looking for some reassurance.

I sometimes do struggle with mental health because it is not the way it is planned, when I have made a goal but the goal can be left to my future me.

I define freedom as being of a service to other people or helping out another fellow person while I receive emotional or physical presence.

We should all strive to be of a service whether you are independent or not.

Priority to be of a service
  • Money for something

Theres a lot of opinions about this. In Australia a lot of people prefer to do nothing on the day than to work for less than minimum wage

My thinking is… If you have nothing to do on the day, why not just do something, at least it covers more than enough for transport to get to the destination. But I guess if you are building something maybe it is best to take it easy.

But anyways, it is better than nothing while you look for something better. I use the platform called Airtasker, just some odd jobs here and there but I guess it is better than nothing.

We humans are hardwired to seek out to do something  but if you just sit at home all day, you are just going to get depressed. I have done this before.

    This is my thoughts.

  • What we consume affects our mental health

In this age of the internet, the internet is filled with endless entertainment. But that comes with a price.

We have to selectively choose what we consume, but what we consume is saying how should we know!

I did write something about how we should consistently improve ourselves to get that satisfaction. Like a dopamine rush if you say!

Porn is an artificial dopamine rush whether achievements are more of a natural rush. It’s like comparing an achievement to conquering a quest or something.

Why porn? Porn hi-jacks your brain like a drug addict over simulating your brain to the point it destroys itself slowly which could take months to recover.

Theres this book called “Your brain on porn”

They give their experimental/research on how it affects our mental health without us realising because its just visual (I’m a victim of this).

As for mental health, be the best version of yourself you can be even when you are on porn.

  • Keeping up with mental health

I believe humans are meant to work, not like just sitting around doing something. If you do nothing just sitting around watching tv or clicking buttons on a computer screen depression or anxiety will creep up, maybe it might make you feel like you need medications. NO! You should not need to have medications.

Being outside of the house or the apartment can give you clarity and allows you to reset your mind with all these distractions from modern life, especially the internet.

What would be a good idea is to use the internet or your phone as a tool. A tool to hold money or make money and also to provide value to people on the internet. What I mean by providing value is offering  a product or solution to people and selling it like digital products or reselling using platforms such as eBay. Even that you could just use your creativity to spread knowledge on the internet so that your work will not be for nothing.

Providing value to our fellow people

The book I have provided above will illustrate “if you can solve a problem to others” then your value within marketplace will go up in value.

I’m saying, humans are always meant to be improving and growing which ironically keeps us young for some reason. If we are growing and improving, our minds stay nimble and sharp even at an older age.

    Can we solve a problem?

I will talk more about this in the later stage…
